VITAMIN K2in the form of a fermentation extract by which vitamin K2 is manufactured with the help of the bacterium Bacillus subtilis Natto. This process has the ability to produce the pure and bioavailable form of vitamin K2, menaquinone-7 (MK-7). Natural vitamin K2 activates proteins with a role in calcium metabolism (osteocalcin from bones and MGP protein from arteries and other soft tissues), and vitamin D3 stimulates the synthesis of these proteins. MK-7 is recognized in the specialized literature as the most bioavailable, longest-lived and most bioactive form of vitamin K for supplements and food additives. It is essential for the body to use calcium to form healthy, strong bones and to prevent the deposition of calcium on the arteries, which causes them to stiffen.
